The renovation period is in full swing, we recently received a number of inquiries from customers who are under pressure to finish renovating their homes in August,
and if not, then at least in early September, or just before the holidays so we can celebrate the holiday in the new living room.

 Why is renovation a process and not a blitz and we're done?

Stages of construction: When we send a quote , it is divided into stages of construction. For example: demolition and evacuation stages, construction, plumbing, sealing, electricity, plaster, paint, flooring and more.
Each stage consists of another sub-stage of different professionals who are supposed to work in sequence or one after the other, and sometimes also with materials that are supposed to dry.

Bathroom renovation, for example, has the sealing phase, which is critical for further construction phases.
The sealing phase involves a 48 or 72 hour flood test, in which we fill the bath space with water (creating a kind of swimming pool for ducklings).
Until we make sure that there is no drop in the water level or that moisture is created somewhere we do not advance to the next construction stages.

Why do renovations sometimes take longer than planned?

Contractors sometimes have a reputation as those who delay projects, so let us update you:
we have not the slightest desire to postpone giving your key to your new home or business.
For the simple reason that we receive the last payment after submitting the key.
Which means that our interest as a construction or renovation company is to finish the project in the best and fastest way.
So that we can get the full investment of our time and resources.

We have selected a few main reasons:

1. The gap between fantasy and reality

This section is critical,
many times in the renovation process the talented designer came up with an exciting niche between the bedroom and the bathroom, the
dream niche where you can write your next novel.
But, somehow, in reality, it suddenly seems to you like a hole in the wall, and the chances of you actually sitting there are nil.
And yes, we got out many times where we broke niches or walls built the day after,
because suddenly when the property owner walks inside the apartment, the wall no longer fits.
And it took us another 3 days of construction, demolition, evacuations, workers and alterations.

Or the pink wall syndrome in the room –
you sat with the interior designer, who convinced you that one wall in sage green looks rare next to an antique pink,
you arrived and felt a bit in Golda's branch, this is the stage that took you two days away from receiving the key.

2. Planning and execution

You went to choose with your stunning architect tiles for the bathroom,
you were very passionate about tiles in the design of fishbone (a known form of fish hydra) or on particularly huge tiles called "tight tiles"
– keep in mind that you have added both budget and time to your bathroom.
It is recommended to take into account that all the "mosaic" works of all kinds, require much more time, a quarter and even unique professionals.

Renovation is usually of an older house, or even if you bought a new apartment in the TMA

4. "Additions and Modifications" Appendix to the Contract

This is the document that many customers receive in the middle or towards the end of the renovation.
It's a document you say:
"Yes, originally I wanted to make a simple bathroom, without a rain shower and a bench,
but while renovating I saw how stunning and useful it was, so we added that."

And friends, this happens in a great many cases. Because you are already in the process and because it makes a lot of sense to do the maximum you can so as not to go into another renovation again.
Because home remodeling is a once or twice in a lifetime process. You want to know that you have invested and made decisions that you will not regret and will have to change in a year or two.

Bottom line: When you are planning to renovate, we recommend: take a deep breath and then understand that renovation is a process.
Yes, it can be done quickly, but it can not be done in a way that is not thorough.
Because then there will be a future price, a price that neither I as a contractor nor you as renovators want to pay.

And if you have already invested so much and come to this point, you will survive another week, two weeks in rent or in your parents' house in order to return to a home that you will be happy, happy and whole to live in.
